About Me

On March 21st, 2010 My daddy left for his last trip away from us. On March 22nd we had to ask him to come home. I had my first seizure that day. One month later I was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms. I have been through a lot in my short life. But I bring so much joy to my mommy and daddy every time I smile.

Autism Awareness - The Big Reveal

Today is National Autism Awareness day! We all wore our blue to show our support and to thank everyone standing behind us and beside us in this journey.

Today is also the day we are invited to the Phoenix Suns game to watch the video Joey Travolta and Inclusion Films made. We are so excited. Mr. Mallory sent Matt a message letting us know he was able to upgrade our seats and we were now sitting in a suite. We might have been a little excited!!!
The game didn't start until 6:00pm but they were playing the video at 37:31 seconds on the clock before the game. We wanted to be in our seats when it was playing so we had to leave the house super early.

There was a problem getting our tickets when we got there, but when we did we were directed to the suites. We were all blown away with the seats. What a super special treat to be able to sit up here and watch the video and the game.

The kids were running back and forth in our suite. Jayen even took over the counter-top and made it his own personal water bottle flipping station.

We were all intently watching the clock for the 37:31 time we were told would be when the video started. It was a little off, but not much after the video started playing. I couldn't keep from crying. The kids were excited about seeing themselves, but Jayen was most excited about seeing his coach! He kept hitting us and yelling, "Coach"! I was so amazed and just can't thank everyone enough for making the video what it is. What an amazing memento to keep with us always.

Joey actually called me earlier in the day to see how excited I was. He was going to send me the video ahead of time so we could make sure the parts with Matt in uniform were ok. We've been having a little trouble with the JAG office on base giving permission for him to be filmed in uniform and Joey knew that. We basically told him that he wasn't allowed to portray any opinion or advertisement while Matt was in uniform. We joked that he was going to put subtitles or subliminal messages telling people they couldn't have his Bud Light. It turned into quite a funny joke between us. So immediately after watching the video Matt ran out to get a couple Bud Lights and we sent this picture to Joey thanking him and letting him know he was always welcome to our Bud Lights!
Even though it was such a late game, the kids were being good and really wanted to go down to the court after the game and shoot hoops. We were even able to go in the line that his ball girl buddy was in charge of. She smiled really big when she saw him, but there were many kids behind us so she couldn't stop and talk.

We had such an amazing night but are so sad this experience has come to an end. We hope our paths cross again with Joey and Inclusion Films. This has truly been a once in a lifetime experience!
