Every night I read a story with Jayen but the last few weeks he's been telling me "dad" when we get to the page with the purple triangle. I couldn't figure out why it was dad's. Well tonight he did it again and it finally clicked. Matt's squadron's logo has a triangle shape. He remembered the logo design and matched the shapes. He has so much in that brain that we just need to find a way for me to understand. He's so incredibly smart, it's just that he doesn't have a way for us to understand him. We will get there Jayen. I'm so sorry it is taking me so long!
This blog is to share "our crazy journey" dealing with Jayen's Infantile Spasms. Our struggles and triumphs, all in one place for family and friends and anyone else dealing with this catastrophic type of epilepsy.
About Me
- Jayen Hochstein
- On March 21st, 2010 My daddy left for his last trip away from us. On March 22nd we had to ask him to come home. I had my first seizure that day. One month later I was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms. I have been through a lot in my short life. But I bring so much joy to my mommy and daddy every time I smile.
